Private Client Tax Senior

Worcestershire (Hybrid)

Salary up to £45,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting one of our clients who’s got an opportunity for a Private Client Tax Senior to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide personal, trust and estate tax compliance and associated advisory services to a mix of clients. You will also provide assistance to the Senior Manager/Director/Partners in both compliance and advisory client work.

Role Requirements –

  • Main point of contact for clients to obtain relevant facts to process the client file.
  • Preparation of and reviewing personal self-assessment tax returns and claims for HNW individuals, trusts and estates. (Preparation will be mainly for more complex returns and reviewing will be mainly for more basic returns).
  • Preparation and submission of Capital Gains Tax / Income / Inheritance tax reporting forms.
  • Dealing with HMRC enquiries, penalty notices etc.
  • Liaising with clients and building and maintaining relationships.
  • Advising on day to day tax queries from clients.
  • Supporting more senior staff in the Private Client Tax department with tax planning, including preparing IHT/CGT computations, wealth schedules and packs for advisory meetings.
  • Supporting more senior staff in the Private Client Tax department with processes and efficiencies.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the team to ensure compliance and service delivery.
  • Encourage equality and diversity amongst teams.
