Overview
North Somerset child and adolescent mental health team (CAMHS) is a well‑established multi‑disciplinary team, growing due to new investment. The team offers innovative approaches and a comprehensive in‑house CPD training programme. Flexible working patterns are available across two sites – Weston‑super‑Mare and Clevedon. The team also provides Eating Disorder & Learning Disability services, opening further development opportunities.
The team works in the vibrant communities of Weston‑super‑Mare and Clevedon, within commuting distance to Bristol and Taunton, and provides community CAMHS services for approximately 1.8 million people in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, Wiltshire and parts of Dorset.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for a caseload of young people, delivering short‑term evidence‑based interventions from assessment through to discharge.
- Provide assessment and treatments for children, adolescents and their families with complex mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team comprising consultant psychiatrists, family therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses and allied health professionals.
