Managing Quantity Surveyor – Water Industry
MEICA, M&E or Civil Engineering
A leading Tier-1 MEICA/Civils contractor delivering specialist projects in the water industry is looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to assist in the delivery of their Thames Water framework.
If you have experience with construction and engineering-related projects, particularly using NEC contracts, then this could be the role for you.

Duties for Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Dealing with measurements, valuations and agreeing works, while supporting commercial management across projects.
- Preparing tender submissions and reviewing subcontract works packages.
- Overseeing projects commercially from bid stage through to final accounts.
- Assisting in maximising commercial efficiency across the project(s) worked on.
- Ensuring strong relationships are maintained with the supply chain and wider project teams.
- Supporting the negotiation and administration of contracts and packages.
- Collating and reviewing monthly contract reports and cost information.
- Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and assisting with team development.
Qualifications / Experience for Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Relevant surveying degree/qualification
- Familiarity with NEC forms of contract
- Good IT literacy with competency in Excel
- Previous experience within the water industry (preferred but not essential)
