Goodman Masson are partnering with a leading global private markets investment firm to recruit a Finance Analyst into their Portfolio Monitoring team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to gain broad exposure across private equity and private credit within a highly commercial finance function that partners closely with investment and investor-facing teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and reviewing investment valuations through detailed analysis of underlying manager reporting and financial information;
  • Preparing materials for internal valuation and performance review processes;
  • Supporting investment monitoring activities including analysis of portfolio performance and fund exposure;
  • Partnering with investment, fundraising and investor relations teams to support performance analysis and investor reporting;
  • Tracking new transactions and working with internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and reporting accuracy;
  • Supporting quarterly reporting processes including performance packs for senior stakeholders;
  • Working with internal and external service providers to support fund operations and governance processes;
  • Contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives and data enhancement projects;
  • Supporting cross-functional projects across finance, operations and technology teams.

Key requirements:

  • Recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) – 0 – 2 / 3 years PQE;
  • Trained in practice (Audit, Transaction Services, M&A, Corporate Finance, etc.) and/or in industry (Fund Accounting, an Investment Banking graduate rotation, etc), within Private Equity, Private Credit, Investment Management, or wider Financial Services;
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders;
  • Proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and suggest improvements;
  • Strong academic background (2:1 or equivalent preferred).
