ICU Clinical Pharmacist

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated ICU Pharmacist to join a busy hospital team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically focused pharmacist with critical care experience to play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Review and optimise medication therapy for critically ill patients
• Work closely with consultants, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Support safe and effective prescribing practices
• Participate in ward rounds and clinical decision-making
• Ensure compliance with medicines management policies and procedures
• Provide advice on antimicrobial stewardship, nutrition support, and high-risk medicines

Requirements

• GPhC registered Pharmacist
• Previous NHS hospital pharmacy experience essential
• Prior ICU/Critical Care experience highly desirable
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
