The data centre sector is key to Turner & Townsend, and as part of our continued investment in the sector, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Cost Manager to join us. This permanent position is suited to an individual who has worked in a consultancy and succeeded at a Senior Cost Manager level, with experience in the data centre sector preferred. The role is based in London and works as part of a dynamic team with clients throughout the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities include leading clients through all stages of projects from feasibility, pre‑contract and post‑contract, ensuring value for clients. The role will also involve negotiation, procurement, post‑contract cost management, contract creation, execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance, reduce financial risk and maintain continuous commercial performance. It is expected that you will possess commercial pricing, modelling and strategies to drive value for money for the client.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying
  • Chartered with the RICS, or equivalent
  • Strong measurement and cost planning expertise (NRM2)
  • JCT / NEC / FIDIC experience
  • Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
  • Excellent people person and great communicator, both internal and external
