We are working with a leading specialist law firm with a nationally recognised construction disputes practice, advising on some of the most high-profile and complex matters in the UK’s built environment sector.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior legal professional to gain hands-on experience within a high-performing contentious construction team, working on technically challenging and commercially significant disputes.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a well-established Construction, Engineering & Procurement team, supporting on a broad range of contentious matters across adjudication, arbitration and court proceedings. The team is particularly well known for its work in post-Grenfell litigation, building safety, and large-scale residential remediation projects.
This role offers real exposure, responsibility, and a proven pathway into training contracts or further legal progression.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting solicitors on complex construction disputes across litigation and ADR processes
- Assisting with case management, including deadlines, filings, and coordination with courts and tribunals
- Drafting legal documents and client correspondence on issues such as payments, defects, and extensions of time
- Liaising with clients, barristers, and technical experts
- Supporting on adjudications, arbitrations, and TCC matters
- Conducting legal and regulatory research (including building safety and fire legislation)
- Contributing to client updates and thought leadership content
What We’re Looking For
- Undergraduate law degree (essential)
- Strong interest in construction law and the built environment sector
- Previous litigation paralegal experience (desirable, not essential)
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
