If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join as a Wastewater Asset Reliability Engineer, where your role will be integral in ensuring our mechanical assets are fully functional.

This role is based across our West region, covering areas such as Taunton, Yeovil, and Weston‑Super‑Mare and everywhere in between.

What you’ll do

This role will see you be responsible for asset lifecycle analysis of operational data to allow for the prioritisation for Capital Investment allied to improved planned maintenance activities.

Specifically, this will involve working through a programme of nominated critical electrical, mechanical and instrumentation (EMI) assets, process critical civil assets, analysing job feedback data and following an RCM (Reliability‑Centred Maintenance) approach to ensure the correct frequencies and tasks are set up with the most appropriate maintenance activities.

Each asset group review will require a gap analysis with key attribute data being uploaded into the corporate asset data system.

Day‑to‑day you will be reviewing asset data (both desktop and site reviews), developing relationships with divisional E&M, and Operational managers to influence the development of maintenance strategies and Cyclical Maintenance and Investment Programmes.

You will be reporting to the Asset Quality Manager but will be required to work collaboratively with the other Asset Reliability Engineers in order to develop a consistent approach.

What you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of the water industry and knowledge of water recycling processes would be beneficial, as well as mechanical or electrical knowledge.

Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills are essential for this role, alongside being a competent user of Excel with a good mathematical background and analytical skills.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to hold a valid driving licence. A company vehicle will be provided for your travel.
