Hours: Full‑time

The Role

As Workshop Manager, you will take charge of the GSE workshop, leading from the front to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the GSE workshop team
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment to minimise downtime
  • Ensure all work meets strict safety, compliance, and airport regulations
  • Drive efficiency, organisation, and operational resilience
  • Collaborate with airlines, ground handlers, and internal teams
  • Improve workshop performance and streamline processes
  • Support operations during peak periods and unexpected challenges

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing a busy workshop (aviation experience ideal)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure
  • A confident leader who can inspire and develop teams
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance
  • Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
  • City & Guilds/NVQ (or equivalent)

Desirable

  • Plant or HGV experience
  • Knowledge of diesel & electric vehicles, hydraulics, and welding
