SCAN Lead CEPAS Nurse

Responsibilities

• Postholder will have responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of the electronic scheduling system for patients receiving Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT) across the South East Cancer Network (SCAN).
• Provide local oversight and nursing leadership for the programme to deliver Chemotherapy Electronic Prescribing System (CEPAS) and any subsequent system upgrades.
• Work with teams across NHS Lothian, NHS Fife, NHS Scottish Borders and NHS Dumfries and Galloway to ensure standard operating procedures are developed and followed on a regional basis.
• Develop and implement training packages for the appropriate aspects of CEPAS (including scheduling) to ensure all practitioners’ competency and consistency in its application.
• Influence practice, providing a consultative, leadership and educational role to professional colleagues of all specialties involved in using CEPAS to deliver SACT safely to patients.

Work Arrangement

The post is advertised as part time to allow flexibility within the post for the maintenance of clinical responsibilities and competencies. This flexibility will be agreed with successful candidates on an individual basis.
