HR Advisor

Location: Lichfield/Hybrid Team: HR Operations

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our HR Operations Team. This is a key role within the function, offering the chance to support managers and colleagues across the organisation while delivering a high‑quality, professional HR service.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for HR advice, playing a vital role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and compliantly in a fast‑paced, growing organisation.

What you’ll be doing

As an HR Advisor, your role will be varied, hands‑on and impactful. You will:

  • Provide clear, practical HR advice to managers and colleagues via phone and email
  • Deliver core operational HR processes, including:
  • Payroll and contractual changes
  • Family‑friendly leave
  • References, right to work checks and DBS/criminal record checks
  • Professional registrations and benefits administration
  • Skilled Worker sponsorship processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, CQC standards and Home Office requirements
  • Manage and resolve HR queries efficiently, escalating complex matters when required
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and processes
  • Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives within a supportive HR team

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and proactive, with:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role
  • A good working knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in the care sector and knowledge of regulatory compliance (including right to work and sponsorship processes) would be an advantage
