Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the respiratory intervention team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The Trust is starting a new robotic-assisted bronchoscopy service (RAB), embedded in the well-established bronchoscopy and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) service at St Mary’s Hospital, and will allow the team to sample peripheral lung lesions under general anaesthetic. The team is looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated nurse to provide specialist care for patients undergoing day‑case RAB and other bronchoscopy procedures. The nurse will be expected to support the new service pre‑operatively and assist with procedures and post‑procedure care, ensuring a smooth patient journey. As such the nurse will be integrated into both the endoscopy team and the wider lung multi‑disciplinary team. The post‑holder will also support the cross‑site respiratory intervention service, focusing predominantly on bronchoscopy, but also providing cross‑cover to the pleural service when needed.
