Overview
Global Markets and Energy Trading business are looking to hire an Indirect Tax Compliance Advisor who will form part of the wider Group Tax team. The position is a hands-on role which involves primary responsibility for meeting the markets business group global Indirect Tax Compliance obligations – VAT and Energy Taxes. This includes, but is not limited to, preparation or review of certain Indirect Tax filings in UK, France, Netherlands, Singapore and Mexico. The role requires an individual who is well positioned to assist with indirect tax compliance reporting, with experience working in a multinational or professional services environment. The role will also entail supporting the transformation of current tax systems, processes, and policies to support the growing needs of the markets tax department and the wider group.
Responsibilities
- Meet the markets business group global Indirect Tax Compliance obligations – VAT and Energy Taxes.
- Prepare or review Indirect Tax filings in UK, France, Netherlands, Singapore and Mexico.
- Assist with Indirect tax compliance reporting in a multinational or professional services environment.
- Support the transformation of current tax systems, processes, and policies to meet the growing needs of the markets tax department and the wider group.
Qualifications
- ACCA, ACA, ATT or CTA (or equivalent).
- Circa 5 years Indirect Tax Compliance experience gained either within Inhouse or Industry.
- Understanding of UK indirect tax principles and EU rules; energy taxes would be an advantage.
- Experience in using SAP is preferred.
- Strong experience in Excel and working with datasets.
- Strong knowledge of VAT and Energy Tax ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- European language skills are an advantage but not essential.
