This is a rare opportunity to be the sole sales and commercial leader, directly responsible for shaping the go-to-market strategy and personally driving large, high-value negotiations with growers, distributors, and strategic partners. You’ll be the face of the company to the market, building strong relationships while translating complex scientific innovations into compelling business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for microbial products, including pricing and positioning.
- Build on existing customer relationships, transitioning them from monitoring services to trials and product adoption.
- Identify and onboard new customers as the monitoring service expands internationally and across crop types.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and distribution partnerships with growers and collaborators.
- Lead conversations and joint projects with partners through JDAs and JRAs.
- Drive market research to track trends, competitors, and customer needs — feeding insights into product and marketing strategies.
- Support product launches and marketing, including representing the company at industry conferences.
Requirements
- Proven track record in sales or commercial leadership within agri-tech, biotech, or related industries.
- From scratch/product scale-up experience.
- Strong experience in closing large-scale deals and partnerships.
- Knowledge of the Agri-tech market.
- Ability to operate independently and thrive in a scale-up environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Flexibility to travel in the UK and internationally.
- Ability to work in London office.
Preferred
- Experience with microbiome or plant science products.
- Network in the hydroponics or greenhouse industry.
