Responsibilities
To deliver advanced practice level ultrasound examinations with a high degree of autonomy and expertise in clinical practice, whilst independently producing quality diagnostic ultrasound reports. To ensure compliance across all four pillars of the advanced practice framework are maintained.
As an advanced practitioner, you will work closely with the senior sonography team, senior colleagues and Radiologists across the Trust, to develop and maximise the ultrasound service, ensuring a patient focused, safe, effective and efficient service that is able to meet the current and future needs of the Trust and population it serves.
You will be willing to lead and have a key role in Departmental and Multi-disciplinary Team meetings and contribute to improving patient care and services. In addition, you will have a significant role in clinical governance and the training in ultrasound of others, as agreed with the ultrasound management team. This will include Radiographers, Midwives, trainees, and other medical staff and HCPs.
In return for your commitment, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust can offer you a fantastic place to work, within a high-performing, very stable Trust, alongside amazing colleagues across multi-disciplinary teams with one goal ‘to provide the best care for our patients’. This isn’t an idle boast as we can demonstrate from our last two CQC inspections (rated ‘Good’ both times), annual reports and our excellent clinical and financial performance.
Our most recent Staff Survey results show us that our staff agree that Bolton is an amazing place to work. You will be joining a high performing integrated care Trust.
