There is a way to make the most of what you’ve got as an Architectural professional in Leeds.
A pathway for you to more financial freedom, incredible flexibility, all the working from home you want (there’s the option to work in the office too if that’s your thing), as well as 30 days holiday + Bank holidays.
All for less work. Less hours. Less pressure.
You would get more value, and feel more valued working client side for a Building Safety Consultancy in a Building Regulations Principal Designer job (BRPD).
The salary increase is already there and it’ll carry on going in the right direction quickly for you.
You’ll experience progression. Not because there’s room at the top, there’s nobody at the top yet.
Who do you think will be first in line in 2 – 3 years when there’s 1000 more active BR PDs?
You’re suitable for this job if you’ve been involved in a HRB and gateway process, even if you’re not the duty holder. If you need to you can learn most of the processes once you’ve started.
It won’t take long, and the employer is very sensible about this.
So you don’t have an excuse not to change your life.
Here’s what the job is
- Provide guidance on Building Regulations for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Mostly HRBs.
- Support BRPD responsibilities, Gateway Submissions, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Review plans, technical details, and specifications to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, and colleagues to drive effective decision-making.
- Stay up to date with industry changes, regulations, and Building Safety Act guidance.
- Deliver clear, accurate, and technically sound reports.
Here’s what you’ll need
- Experienced Architect
- Really good working knowledge of Building Regulations.
- Client facing, or the ability to be. Good Social skills basically.
- Someone that is committed to high standards and can organise themselves with trackers and spreadsheets.
