Senior Nurse – Cardiology

Band 8a FULL TIME

Clinical Care Group 2- Elective Medicine

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate care across Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, and Immunology patients within Ninewells Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary.
• Provide strong leadership and operational management across the clinical teams, ensuring safe, effective, and high‑quality care is delivered to the population of Tayside.
• Initial portfolio will be Cardiology, with potential for change following service redesign.
• Engage in out‑of‑hours and weekend working with an on‑call element.

Qualifications

• Registered on either Part 1 or Part 12 of the UK NMC Register.
• Extensive experience at a senior leadership level with a proven track record of improving care and innovating practice.
• Master’s level or equivalent education, demonstrating an understanding of quality improvement and service development across a variety of nursing environments.
