Position Overview

Title: Senior Development Manager

Location: Manchester – Fountain Street

Salary: £91,695.00 – £114,620.00 plus £5,000.00 car allowance

Hours: 36 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Workplace: This is a hybrid role based at our Manchester office. You’ll be expected to attend the office regularly, with occasional travel to site locations as required.

Key Responsibilities: We’re seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead Clarion’s residential and mixed‑use developments across a diverse portfolio. Your responsibilities include driving the development and delivery of the Dyecoats Leeds Project, supporting planning, funding and future phases of this scheme, managing a high‑performing team, delivering commercial outcomes, and supporting the growth of our development programme. You will manage the development management of residential‑led and mixed‑use schemes, ensuring they meet commercial objectives, guiding teams, overseeing performance, driving accountability, and ensuring innovative, compliant design solutions. You will provide strategic financial leadership, deliver analysis and modelling, manage budgets and risks, and support business planning to ensure value for money and the achievement of KPIs.

Team Management: Working closely with the Regional Managing Director, you will manage Development Managers, Assistant Development Managers, and wider development functions as required.

Required Qualifications: Experienced residential development professional with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, a creative and commercial mindset, and a solid background in master planning and place creation. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience is required. Professional qualifications such as RICS, RTPI, or CIOB are desirable, although candidates with equivalent experience are also encouraged to apply.
