Leading (re)Insurer seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their established, high-performing legal function. Reporting to the Group General Counsel, the role will focus heavily across the companies Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life Insurance businesses, supporting across a range of Corporate Legal issues.
As Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for:
- Assisting and leading across corporate transactions including M&A, restructuring, disposals and key financing transactions.
- Providing key regulatory legal advice across the Group.
- Advising on Insurance & Reinsurance contracts, including drafting and negotiating these agreements.
- Assisting on ad-hoc legal queries and providing key training across changes in law that could affect the business.
- Supporting regional business units worldwide on changes in regulations. Liaising and engaging external counsel where appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified lawyer with at least 6 years+ PQE, gained from a top tier Insurance Law Firm or having worked In-House at a (re)Insurer. Strong Corporate Insurance/Regulatory experience is essential.
