Stantec is looking for a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to support and deliver the hydrogeological and environmental aspects of varied projects across the UK. This position offers the potential for experience on a wide range of interesting and challenging projects and strong career growth for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated candidate. If you are not already chartered, a significant commitment to obtain chartership is essential, and progress towards this will be fully supported.
Responsibilities and Expectations
As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you will be familiar with the regulatory, business, and policy environment in which our clients operate and communicate effectively with them. You will deliver field‑based monitoring/sampling and drilling supervision, pumping test supervision and analysis, data analytics, scripting and numerical groundwater modelling, or geochemical modelling and hydrochemical analysis. You will share your knowledge with junior staff, be enthusiastic about learning, and work within multidisciplinary teams to support projects across the UK and internationally.
Key Qualifications
- Hydrogeology MSc or relevant PhD, and/or considerable post‑graduate experience in delivering hydrogeology‑related projects.
- Experience supervising field‑based monitoring, drilling, pumping tests, data analytics, or hydrochemical modelling.
- Ability to produce high‑quality oral and written communication, site activities, factual and interpretative reporting, data management, quantitative analysis.
