Astrum Search is currently working with a leading essential infrastructure services business operating across the UK & Ireland to find a Senior Internal Audit Manager to join their growing group internal audit team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced audit professional who wants genuine influence – not just executing audits, but shaping strategy, presenting at Board level, and driving continuous improvement across a complex, multi-divisional group.
The Role:
You’ll manage end-to-end delivery of financial and operational audits, lead a small team (3 reports), build relationships with senior stakeholders, and contribute to the ongoing development of the function. The role offers lots of variety from risk-based audit programmes to fraud investigations and process improvement projects.
You’ll Need:
- A recognised qualification – internal audit or accountancy qualification (CIA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong experience managing and delivering audits across financial and operational areas
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience line managing or coaching/mentoring more junior team members
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and bring fresh thinking to the team
The role is based in Stevenage, although there is lots of flexibility. The expectation is 1-2 x per week.
