Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead a large‑scale, 24/7 operation within a fast‑paced environment. With responsibility for Operations and Transport managing a Team of 500+ this is a high‑impact role requiring a natural leader who can navigate complexity, drive change, and deliver operational excellence. This is not a “sit behind the desk” role – we’re looking for someone who is visible, engaged, and thrives on being at the heart of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 500+ across a 24/7 operation
• Drive significant operational change, embedding structure, discipline, and consistency
• Implement robust processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and throughput
• Increase operational capacity and volume through continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure high standards of health & safety, compliance, and operational performance
• Build a strong leadership culture across all levels of the operation
• Take full ownership of site performance, including KPIs, cost control, and service delivery

Key Skills/Experience

• Proven experience operating at General Manager level within large, complex operations
• Strong background in managing large, manual 24/7 operation
• Demonstrable success in leading and delivering significant operational change
• A hands‑on, visible leadership style with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
• Strong process‑driven mindset with a track record of implementing improvements
• Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
• Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to build and develop high‑performing teams
