Accounts Assistant | Stanford | £28k – £32k

A well-established and highly profitable global logistics business is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team in Thurrock.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider leadership team, this role offers a varied position with exposure across multiple entities and day-to-day finance operations. The company offers a relaxed and supportive working environment with excellent long-term stability.

Salary & Benefits

• £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:30pm (office based)

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the accounts inbox and responding to finance queries
• Processing purchase invoices, supplier payments, and reconciliations
• Handling customer and supplier transactions across multiple entities
• Resolving invoice discrepancies and payments on account
• Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions
• Supporting month-end procedures, journals, and control accounts
• Weekly aged creditor reporting
• Assisting with reporting, analysis, and finance projects
• Supporting process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

Experience Required

• AAT Level 2 qualified (minimum)
• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or finance role
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct advantageous
• Confident using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Positive, proactive, and professional approach
• Strong communication skills with fluent written and spoken English
