Senior Engineer – Stealth (Testing & Trials)
Location: Barrow‑In‑Furness, 5 days per week onsite.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in helping submarines meet stringent stealth performance goals. Your responsibilities will include:
Core Duties
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide critical noise & vibration data that influences design decisions.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers within our growing team.
- Conducting equipment condition‑based monitoring and diagnostics assessments (ISO 18436).
- Effectively communicating and coordinating teams.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in technical tasks.
- Challenging traditional approaches with an innovative mindset.
- Adapting positively to changes in a dynamic environment.
Essential Skills
- A strong STEM background (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
- Proficiency in at least one acquisition software (e.g., Siemens LMS, HBK Connect) or experience in rotating machinery commissioning/instrumentation.
- The ability to discuss technical findings with stakeholders from various technical backgrounds.
- In‑depth knowledge of noise and vibration measurement techniques and data analysis.
We also provide relocation support for all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
