Dartmouth Partners are excited to work with a leading Private Equity firm to find a Financial Controller for a contract position to temporarily oversee the financial operations of the firm.
This is a 6 month contract role so we require people who are immediately available.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, ensuring the integrity of financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
- Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the firm and its portfolio companies.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings for the firm and its funds.
- Oversee the firm’s internal controls, ensuring strong financial governance and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Monitor fund-level reporting, including performance metrics, investment valuations, and investor reporting.
- Review and streamline accounting processes, implementing best practices and improving efficiency.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification is required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial services, with at least 2 years in industry, ideally in Private Equity or a similar investment-focused environment.
- In-depth understanding of financial reporting, IFRS, US GAAP, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems (experience with (specific software) is a plus).
