Financial Controller

HW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a fast-growing and acquisitive financial services business, to support them with the hire of a new Financial Controller, as a result of internal promotion.

About the role:

This is a varied and hands-on role, preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts for the UK and European group, assisting with integrations, supporting process improvements, and managing a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts for all UK and EU entities
• Manage company bank accounts and oversee supplier payment runs
• Assist with integration of new entities and wider finance-related projects
• Ensure robust financial controls and reconciliations are maintained
• Support process improvements and implement new processes
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee and manage two Finance Assistants

About You:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong financial reporting/management accounting or audit background
• Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• Services sector experience (desirable)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Used to supporting more junior team members
• Professional and positive approach
