Role
Are you a high‑octane procurement leader ready to master the logistics of the world’s most innovative racing series? We are looking for a Senior Race Procurement Manager to join the Formula E team. This isn’t just a management role; it is a mission‑critical position where you will orchestrate the end‑to‑end delivery of world‑class racing events across the globe.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will be the expert champion for our department, managing a dedicated team of Race Procurement Managers. You will collaborate on developing the strategic procurement plan for each race location, ensuring that while the cars push the limits of technology, our supply chain pushes the limits of efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
- Strategic Race Leadership & Command: Lead the ground game across multiple international race weekends. Manage the end‑to‑end tender process for race‑related work packages and define venue usage obligations and drawings. Coach the team to seek out cost‑reduction opportunities and drive peak performance across every race on the calendar.
- Contract Execution & On‑Site Precision: Be the pulse point for on‑site operations. Draft contract documents, negotiate deviations with legal, and monitor local supplier performance against contractual deliverables in real time. Resolve complex contract disputes and manage package re‑measurements through a formal change control process to protect financial and legal interests from the starting grid to the final account.
- Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Synergy: Serve as the single point of escalation and accountability. Provide the Procurement Director with high‑level updates, red‑flag risks before they arise, and report on overall performance of direct reports. Partner with internal departments and evaluation panels to ensure initiatives are communicated effectively and implemented with precision across the Championship’s broader ecosystem.
What we’re looking for
- The Procurement Specialist: Extensive procurement experience, managing end‑to‑end tender processes and navigating diverse international markets. Demonstrable track record of acting as a sustainability champion within a corporate ecosystem.
- The Influential Coach: Natural leader with a can‑do mentality and passion for team development. Ability to mentor Race Procurement Managers, setting ambitious, measurable goals that drive individual and departmental success. Thrive in ambiguity and possess the global and cultural alertness needed to lead in a multi‑country environment.
- The Technical Expert: Exceptional contract management and negotiation skills. Secure best and final offers, identify risk items for mitigation, maintain impeccable judgement and attention to detail. Comfortable with figures, administrative proficiency, and oversight of complex procurement trackers across concurrent events.
- The Strategic Architect: Strategic mindset, build scalable and agile procurement plans. Collaborate seamlessly with legal, finance, and event teams to ensure agreed payment terms are met and budgets delivered accurately. Translate complex operational needs into flawlessly executed procurement strategies.
