Merchandiser – Luxury brand

Fella & Jones is partnering exclusively with a fast-scaling luxury childrenswear brand known for exceptional craftsmanship, distinctive design, and a global digital footprint. This is a rare chance to step into a pivotal Merchandiser role during a moment of ambitious growth and international expansion.

The Role

As Merchandiser, you will set the pace for the department, leading with clarity, commercial instinct, and strong technical ability. You’ll guide a motivated team, drive trading performance, and act as the escalation point for operational challenges. Your decisions will directly shape sales, margin, and OTB delivery across a growing range.

This role suits someone who thrives on problem solving, communicates confidently at every level, and brings both analytical sharpness and collaborative energy.

Trading & Performance

  • Run day-to-day trading, weekly reporting, and present actions to senior leadership.
  • Manage WSSI/OTB trackers and recommend clear commercial actions.
  • Work with Ecommerce and Retail to maximise availability and reduce missed demand.
  • Deliver seasonal markdown plans.
  • Lead in-season reviews and propose improvements for future ranges.

Planning & Strategy

  • Analyse performance, trends, and customer insights to shape planning.
  • Support assortment, pricing, and inventory decisions that drive margin.
  • Produce analysis for range meetings and keep plans accurate and up to date.
  • Partner with Buying to keep product on critical path.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships for reliable delivery.

Commercial Awareness

  • Understand brand positioning and customer behaviour to guide decisions.
  • Track competitor activity and translate insights into clear recommendations.

Skills & Experience

  • Operating at Junior merchandiser or Merchandiser level. Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with sound commercial judgment.
  • Experience overseeing a department and managing junior team members.
  • Clear, confident communicator across functions and external partners.
  • Collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Product affinity and a genuine interest in premium/luxury retail.
