Job Description:
We’re partnering with a leading global investment firm to hire a Network Security Specialist to help protect and evolve a complex, high-performance network spanning data centres, offices, co-location sites, and public cloud platforms.
This is a hands‑on, project‑driven role combining engineering, security architecture, and high‑level troubleshooting.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deploy enterprise‑grade network security solutions aligned with global standards
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of security and infrastructure projects
- Implement and support security platforms across data centres, offices, and cloud environments
- Provide L3 support for complex network and security incidents
- Proactively identify risks, performance issues, and improvement opportunities
- Drive automation and process optimisation across security operations
- Maintain system integrity through patching, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks
What We’re Looking For
- ~7+ years’ experience in network engineering and security‑focused roles
- Strong background in network security technologies (firewalls, NAC, segmentation, architecture)
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise firewall platforms (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto)
- Solid experience with Cisco ISE or similar access control solutions
- Advanced routing & switching knowledge:
- Routing: OSPF, BGP, NAT, IPSEC, GRE
- Switching: QoS, HSRP/VRRP, MLAG/VPC
- Strong troubleshooting and network diagnostics capability
- Experience with scripting/automation (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern segmentation approaches
- Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
