Clinical Nurse – Home Manager

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse – Home Manager to lead the delivery of outstanding care within our clients residential nursing home. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated registered nurse with strong leadership skills to oversee clinical excellence, team development, and the day-to-day management of the home.
About the Role
As Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of nursing and person-centred care are consistently delivered. You will lead and support multidisciplinary teams, maintain regulatory compliance, and create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and overall management of the nursing home
- Ensure high-quality clinical care and safeguarding standards are maintained
- Lead, motivate, and develop nursing and care teams
- Manage staffing levels, recruitment, training, and performance
- Oversee medication management, audits, and clinical governance
- Maintain compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support high-quality service delivery
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with active NMC registration
- Previous experience in a senior clinical leadership or home management role
- Strong understanding of elderly care, dementia care, and clinical governance
- Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to lead teams positively within a fast-paced care environment
- Commitment to delivering person-centred care
Desirable
- Management qualification or leadership training
- Experience managing budgets and occupancy levels
- Experience leading successful CQC inspections
