Apply for the Mergers and Acquisitions Director
Location: London
Job Description:

A fast-scaling, AI-driven property group is hiring an M&A Director to lead and scale its acquisition strategy as it builds the UK’s first AI-enabled roll-up of independent property companies.

Backed by leading investors and already acquiring businesses nationwide, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-velocity M&A function. You will work directly with the founders, leading deal strategy, driving execution and building the acquisition engine that underpins the group’s growth.

Role: M&A Director

Salary: Competitive, with strong performance-based bonus and equity

Location: London-based with UK-wide travel (hybrid working)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and lead the end-to-end M&A strategy across a high-volume acquisition pipeline
  • Drive deal sourcing through brokers, direct outreach and your own network
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with owner–operators, positioning the group as a buyer of choice
  • Lead negotiations, deal structuring and execution across multiple concurrent acquisitions
  • Oversee due diligence processes, ensuring commercial, financial and operational alignment
  • Work closely with founders on capital deployment, pipeline prioritisation and strategic direction
  • Build and scale the M&A function, introducing structure, process and performance tracking
  • Support post-acquisition integration alongside operational teams
  • Leverage data and emerging AI tools to improve sourcing, analysis and deal velocity

What you’ll need:

  • Strong background in M&A, private equity, corporate finance or Transaction Services (typically 6+ years)
  • Proven experience leading transactions end-to-end, ideally within lower mid-market or high-volume environments
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to assess deals quickly and confidently
  • Experience managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence operating at senior stakeholder level, including founders, investors and advisors
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Comfortable working with autonomy in a high-growth, evolving business

What’s on offer:

  • Highly competitive salary with performance-based bonus and equity
  • Hybrid working with travel across the UK
  • Direct exposure to founders and investors
  • Opportunity to build and lead a high-impact M&A function
  • A central role in scaling a tech-enabled platform within a fragmented market

This role would suit someone who wants to step into a leadership position within a high-growth environment, take ownership of deal strategy, and play a key role in building a category-defining business.
