Do you want to play a key role in shaping the LEGO Group’s global approach to Human Rights & ESG Compliance as part of the Corporate Sustainability team? Join us to help define the strategic direction for ESG compliance, ensuring we are well-positioned to meet evolving regulatory requirements while enabling the business to implement effectively.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set the direction for ESG compliance by partnering with Legal, Governance & Public Affairs and other key partners to identify, interpret, and assess emerging ESG due diligence and human rights regulations.
  • Translate regulation into frameworks and guidance by developing enterprise-wide compliance roadmaps, policies, and governance structures in line with our human rights and sustainability strategy that enable business units to implement requirements effectively.
  • Orchestrate key ESG compliance roadmaps (such as Forced Labour regulations and EU Deforestation Regulations) overseeing progress, risks, and reporting – while mobilizing implementation and ensuring clear accountability sits within the business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing expert guidance to functions such as Procurement on ESG compliance requirements, value chain risks, expectations, etc.
  • Stay on top of external trends and evolutions of the regulatory landscape and global frameworks for human rights and ESG due diligence to anticipate future impacts on the business and guide needed improvements.
  • Enable effective cross-functional governance by supporting Responsible Sourcing Steering Committee and Working Group to ensure effective collaboration and execution of LEGO Group priorities and efforts to manage supply chain risks.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or other relevant degree such as law, social science, or business administration or equivalent experience.
  • Proven expertise within ESG and human rights regulations (e.g. EU CSDDD, EUDR, EUBR), corporate compliance & ethics, and sustainability.
  • Strong experience in designing compliance frameworks, governance models, and enterprise-level programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior partners and drive alignment across complex, global organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex regulation into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Strong analytical skills, including risk assessment and development of pragmatic, scalable solutions.
  • Experience working for a global brand and/or in global teams; highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • A strategic, structured, and pragmatic approach with a passion for shaping direction and enabling others to succeed.
