Business Development Manager – Complex Care

Salary up to £60,000 DOE + Commission

Hybrid (Remote considered for exceptional candidates)

A long-established complex care provider, delivering over 30,000 community care hours per week, is seeking their first-ever Business Development Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join a reputable organisation with over 40 years of sector experience and play a pivotal role in shaping and growing the commercial function, with a future pathway to build and lead a full BD team.

The Role

  • Drive growth across community-based complex care services
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with commissioners, ICBs, and local authorities
  • Build and nurture strong, long‑term relationships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver strategic commercial plans to support sustainable growth
  • Work closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure seamless service mobilisation
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, meetings, and networking forums
  • Maintain accurate reporting, pipelines and market insight

The Ideal Candidate

  • Must have experience in complex community care (not supported living or residential)
  • Proven track record of generating business and securing new packages
  • Strong understanding of commissioned community care pathways
  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship‑building skills
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and a drive for results
  • Ambitious, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to build a commercial team in the future
