Position Overview
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you are the guardian of the “payday experience” for our teams across the UK and France. You will process payroll, bridge global strategy with local compliance, and optimize our Dayforce ecosystem. You turn payroll into a seamless superpower that fuels our global growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly payroll charge for the UK and France with 100% accuracy, ensuring every legislative filing from HMRC RTI to French DSN transmissions is executed perfectly.
- Act as the resident subject matter expert on regional nuances, from UK pension auto‑enrolment to French social charges, ensuring our relationships with URSSAF and HMRC are flawless.
- Serve as the regional champion for Ceridian Dayforce, driving system enhancements and ensuring the data bridge between our global HCM and payroll remains unbreakable.
- Partner closely with Legal and HR to navigate complex involuntary terminations, redundancy pay, and the intricacies of the French solde de tout compte.
- Maintain forensic-level data integrity for GDPR compliance while reconciling internal records with external providers for ESPP, pensions, and medical insurance.
- Provide detailed GL files and variance analysis to Finance during month‑end close, explaining labor‑cost fluctuations.
- Act as the ultimate escalation point for payroll inquiries, creating clear FAQs and webinars to help employees understand payslips and tax changes.
Superpowers
- 5+ years of deep experience in payroll administration within international operations.
- Highly proficient in HRIS systems—Dayforce experience is a must—and advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills.
- In‑depth understanding of UK and French employment laws.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Attention to detail with a forensic eye for data integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong communicator who translates complex payroll jargon into clear, supportive language.

- Experience in the Software‑as‑a‑Service sector.
- Hands‑on management of RSU, equity, commission, and bonus calculations.
