Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s home setting
- Proven leadership and management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on‑call as required
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (desirable – training support available for the right candidate)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager with the daily operation of the home, ensuring smooth and effective service delivery
- Maintain the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding practices, and company policies
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of residential care workers to deliver person‑centred care
- Oversee and review individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that promotes positive outcomes
- Manage administrative duties including staff rotas, budgeting, and accurate record‑keeping
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families to support holistic care
- Encourage professional development within the team and promote internal career progression opportunities
