Your new role

As our new Powerplants and Generators Specialist, you will work alongside a dedicated team of Power Systems engineers on projects in Denmark and abroad. Your role will primarily involve tendering and detail design of power plants, including turbines, generators, and transformer systems across a range of power plant types and sizes, including thermal power plants.

Your key responsibilities

  • Perform detailed engineering design of synchronous condensers and synchronous machines, including excitation systems, protection, and auxiliary systems.
  • Develop interface definitions and specifications between synchronous machines and the grid, including transformers, switchgear, protection and control, and grid compliance requirements.
  • Create tender specifications and conduct technical evaluations for synchronous condensers, generators, excitation systems, and associated transformers.
  • Analyze reactive power, short-circuit contribution, inertia, and voltage control performance, and recommend system and control improvements.
  • Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, control, and grid-connection colleagues to ensure robust machine-grid and plant-level interfaces.
  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable grid codes, HSE, and environmental regulations.

About You

  • Proven experience with design of power plants, power generating systems, and synchronous condensers.
  • Experience working with HV projects (132, 150, and 400 kV systems).
  • Experience with both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Consulting experience on large-scale power projects with a strong client-facing emphasis.
  • Experience with gas-fired power plants is desirable.
  • Fluent English and an additional European language.
