Job Description:

We are partnering with an organisation based in Glasgow to recruit an experienced HR Adviser to join their HR team.

This is a varied, hands-on role with a strong emphasis on employee relations, supporting managers with complex people matters while helping to build management capability across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing ER casework, advising managers on best practice, and delivering training to support effective people management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad range of employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
  • Provide practical, solutions-focused HR advice and guidance to managers across a range of generalist people matters
  • Support and deliver training and development initiatives to build manager capability and confidence in handling ER matters
  • Identify trends and training needs arising from casework and develop targeted learning solutions
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation
  • Continuously improve learning materials, systems, and HR knowledge resources
  • Support wider HR initiatives including employee engagement, performance management, and policy implementation
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to promote a positive employee experience and culture

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role with significant exposure to employee relations casework
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience designing and delivering engaging training sessions for managers or employees
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience using HR Systems
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement
