Lead Passive Fire Protection Surveyor

A growing and well-established fire protection consultancy is seeking a Lead Passive Fire Protection Surveyor to support an expanding portfolio of remediation and compliance projects across commercial and residential existing buildings.
This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Surveyor or Site Supervisor looking to step into a lead-level role — combining hands-on surveying, team coordination, and client-facing responsibilities.
You’ll play a key role in delivering compartmentation and fire door surveys, managing survey workflows, and supporting remediation strategies across complex existing building environments.
Minimum Requirements (Most Important)
- IFE / ASFP Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
- FDIS (or similar Fire Door Qualification) — Level 2 or 3
- CSCS Card
- SSSTS or SMSTS

- Strong understanding of fire compartmentation
- Knowledge of installation details and compliance requirements
- Solid experience within passive fire protection
- Experience managing site teams or coordinating works
- Comfortable liaising with clients and stakeholders
- Experience overseeing quality and compliance
- Ideal background: Former Site Supervisor progressing into surveying or leadership
The Role
- Lead passive fire protection surveys across existing buildings
- Conduct fire door and compartmentation inspections
- Identify defects and compliance issues
- Produce detailed technical reports and remedial recommendations
- Coordinate surveys from instruction through to delivery
- Liaise directly with clients and stakeholders
- Support project planning and service delivery
