Senior DevOps Engineer – Platform
As an Individual Contributor in the Platform function at Perk, you’ll work on the systems that other engineers build on top of every day. Your focus will be on core services, shared libraries, infrastructure, and developer tooling that need to be reliable, scalable, and efficient.
This role is about leverage, not tickets. You’ll spend your time solving cross‑cutting problems, designing clear abstractions, and making trade‑offs that optimise for the whole company, not just one team. Success here looks like fewer incidents, faster development cycles, and other engineers barely noticing the platform because it just works.
Responsibilities
- Manage the current platform infrastructure
- Manage the current code deployment pipelines
- Ensure the safety and security of all infrastructure and data
- Maintain all cloud tools used on the production infrastructure
- Support product squads with knowledge about infrastructure evolution and needs
- Recommend ways to improve the current setup
Required skills and experience
- Experience as a Software Engineer or similar role working with large‑scale infrastructure systems
- Relevant knowledge of cloud virtualisation platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Relevant knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Excellent scripting and automation skills
- Knowledge/Understanding of:
- Scripting (Python, Ansible, Bash, Linux, etc.)
- AWS
- Docker
- CircleCi, Codeship, Fastlane, BitRise or similar technologies
