Overview

We’re expanding our client team! We’re looking for an Account Director who has extensive experience in social commerce, specifically across TikTok Shop operations, Lives, and Ads strategy and management. You must show real passion for educating clients about the opportunities in the social commerce space, be a strong people manager, and be experienced in delivering results for clients. We are a scale‑up business, looking for people with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit who can build long‑term client relationships, drive our business metrics, and create an enviable culture.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our clients’ business requirements and act as their strategic advisor on TikTok Shop performance
  • Build great relationships with senior clients up to Marketing Director and CMO level and lead effective client meetings
  • Hire, manage, and develop account management team members
  • Define and manage exceptional client delivery processes from onboarding to optimisation and reporting
  • Work with your client team to optimise clients’ social commerce activity and drive sales and profitability on campaigns
  • Use advanced data analytics to identify growth opportunities and test and learn within your portfolio
  • Define and deliver Live strategies to achieve client objectives, working closely with the Studio team on high‑quality delivery
  • Collaborate with the organic social team to integrate operations and content strategies and goals
  • Manage and reconcile client budgets and spend, and support Finance with client and creator invoice and billing processes
  • Stay up to date with industry and platform developments and share best practice across the business
  • Continually innovate with the founders to evolve the Onyx proposition

Qualifications

  • Extensive (2+ years minimum) experience defining and managing social commerce strategies, specifically in TikTok Shop operations and Lives within an agency or brand environment
  • Proven ability to manage and meet TikTok GMV and brand objectives, and confidence discussing commerce strategies with senior stakeholders up to CMO level
  • Advanced Excel, data analysis, and mathematical skills for campaign optimisation, reporting, and budget management
  • Deep interest in digital marketing trends and ability to educate clients on the sector
  • Inspiring and empathetic leadership style with experience managing and developing a team, including recruitment and objective setting
  • Strong educational background at degree level or equivalent
  • Excellent presentation skills, including advanced PowerPoint/Google Slides for client meetings
  • Ability to work independently in a start‑up environment while collaborating effectively
  • Natural tenacity to solve problems, overcome conflict, and get things done
  • Logical and detail‑focused approach to process design and improvement
  • Additional skills (bonus): experience in organic social, STEM degree or A‑levels preferred, additional European language (German, Spanish, Italian, or French)
