Head of Employee Relations at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small, dedicated team providing advice and support to staff and managers.
- Shape how employee issues are handled, ensuring a fair, open, and inclusive approach.
- Work closely with managers, trade unions, and staff networks to solve problems early and positively.
- Keep the team updated on employment law and best practice.
- Support and develop managers so they handle people matters confidently.
- Use data and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and take action.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree plus master’s level qualification or equivalent specialist experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Experience designing and delivering training for managers on people management issues.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practice in ER policies.
- Significant experience advising stakeholders on a broad range of ER issues, balancing compliance with business needs.
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills to engage staff at all levels.
Additional Requirements
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and completion of a DBS disclosure.
- Preferred: appropriate UK professional registration.
