We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and forward‑thinking Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse to join our expanding multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in improving early detection, supporting high‑risk individuals, and delivering personalised care to people affected by lung cancer.
You will lead the development and ongoing improvement of the lung oncology nursing service across the Trust, providing expert specialist knowledge and support to patients, families, and colleagues. Your expertise will help reduce health inequalities, promote prevention, and ensure that every person receives timely, high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

Responsibilities
- To lead the development of lung oncology nursing service across the trust and the primary care setting in order to provide high quality, cost effective service using research, audit and evidence based practice.
- To provide specialist care, knowledge, advice, information and education to patients, carers, healthcare professionals and relevant others ensuring individual clinical, psychosocial and emotional needs are met.
- To participate in service delivery across the trust/primary care/cancer network ensuring that it meets the national recommendations and directives for patients with lung cancer.
- The post holder will work with the Trust Lead Clinicians for Lung Cancer in developing and implementing a strategy for the implementation of NICE Improving Outcomes Guidance and IOG Guidelines.
