The Children’s Unit within Raigmore Hospital is looking for a motivated and experienced Band 6 Senior Paediatric Staff Nurse to work within the busy Paediatric Assessment Unit. This is a part‑time, fixed‑term staff position, working 23 hours per week, including weekends and nights, until May 2027.
As the only facility for children in the Highlands, the Unit provides paediatric care across all specialities to children, young people and their families requiring inpatient care, day‑case surgery, procedures and investigations, HDU, assessment area and our two OPDs.
Working in close partnership with members of the MDT, you will be part of a team of skilled staff to support the delivery of care to children, young people and their families who present to the Highland Children’s Unit.
Role Conditions
- Effective from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rated basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure pay remains unaffected.
