Senior Azure Cloud Architect

Summer-Browning Associates is supporting our central government client and is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect for an initial six‑month assignment with the option to extend.

Location: London.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance.
• Strong background in Azure Cloud Technical Architecture, including design and implementation of solutions on Azure such as Azure Policy, network security, and platform guardrails.
• Experience leading the automation of infrastructure deployment and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Experience developing and enforcing privileged access management, including Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and conditional access policies.
• Deep understanding of integrating and optimizing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel) to enhance operational visibility and support incident response.
• Experience defining, maintaining, and owning the technical strategy and roadmap for services.
• Proven ability to lead technical design initiatives across multiple domains (Data, Digital, Security, and other technical areas).
• Track record of mentoring, coaching, and managing mid-level technical architects.
• Strong capability to guide technical teams, influence critical technical decisions, and identify transformative digital opportunities.
• Familiarity with working in public sector or defence secure environments.
