Legal Counsel

About the Role

Be our first in-house legal hire and build our legal function from the ground up. You’ll handle everything from commercial contracts to regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements
• Advise on regulatory and compliance matters
• Support corporate governance and fundraising
• Manage relationships with external counsel
• Develop legal processes and templates

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years PQE in commercial law
• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
• Experience with technology contracts
• Understanding of data protection (GDPR)
• Business-oriented and pragmatic approach

Nice to Have

• In-house experience at a startup
• Knowledge of payments regulations
• Experience with venture financing
• Background in marketplaces or platforms
