Job Description:

Project Manager

Highly Detailed Residential Interiors

£60,000 – £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits

South West London

There are project management roles that sit firmly in spreadsheets, programmes and contractor coordination. Then there are roles like this.

Our client is one of the most respected names within luxury interior design. A studio whose work is recognised not through volume or self-promotion, but through detail, craftsmanship and an uncompromising commitment to design integrity.

For almost four decades, they have delivered some of the world’s most refined private residential interiors across London, Europe and the Middle East. Long lifecycle projects where architecture, interiors, antiques, bespoke detailing and decorative elements are considered as one complete environment.

They are now looking for a Project Manager to join the studio.

But importantly, they are open-minded about where that person comes from.

This could suit an existing Project Manager with strong high-end residential experience.

Equally, it could suit a Senior Interior Architect, Interior Designer or Design Coordinator who naturally gravitates towards delivery, organisation, communication and project leadership, and is now looking to transition more formally into project management.

There is also genuine openness to candidates from the luxury hospitality sector who are looking to move into the private residential world.

What matters most is your ability to coordinate complexity whilst protecting design intent.

This role sits directly between the design studio, external consultants, contractors and client teams.

You will become the conduit that keeps projects moving, information flowing and standards exceptionally high from concept through to final installation.

You will be involved across architectural detailing, design coordination, contractor liaison, fit-out, FF&E integration and on-site delivery.

It is a highly collaborative role within a small, design-led studio environment where everyone remains close to the work and where detail genuinely matters.

The projects themselves are substantial, layered and deeply considered. The type of schemes where timelines stretch across years rather than months and where quality is prioritised over speed.

The studio is primarily office-based in South West London, although there is flexibility where needed, and the team understand the realities of modern working life. The role will also involve site visits and occasional international travel, including projects across the Middle East.

What they’re looking for

  • Background within luxury interiors, interior architecture, architecture or high-end project delivery
  • Strong understanding of both technical design and decorative/FF&E coordination
  • Comfortable reviewing drawings, coordinating technical information and protecting design intent throughout delivery
  • Previous experience using AutoCAD and happy to jump into drawings when required for minor amendments and coordination changes
  • Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Naturally detail-focused and solutions-oriented
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts across live projects
  • Someone who enjoys ownership and responsibility rather than siloed tasks
  • Willingness to travel internationally when projects require it

Why this role stands out

This is not a corporate PM role removed from design.

You will work closely with senior leadership, remain deeply connected to the creative process and play a genuine role in shaping how projects are delivered.

For designers looking to evolve into project management, it offers an unusually strong platform to make that transition while still remaining connected to design.

For experienced PMs, it offers exposure to some of the most detailed and design-led residential work in the industry.

Package

  • £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
  • Discretionary bonus
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • International travel including the Middle East
  • Long-term career progression within a globally recognised studio
