Finance Analyst

Our client is a fast-growing logistics and technology-led business specialising in out-of-home parcel delivery solutions. Operating a nationwide network and partnering with leading retailers and carriers, they focus on making parcel delivery more convenient, efficient, and sustainable for consumers and businesses alike.
They are now seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting across their parcels logistics operations. This is a key role working closely with operations, procurement, and transportation teams to analyse costs, identify efficiencies, and improve overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse logistics and transportation costs, including freight, warehousing, inventory holding, and distribution expenses
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with operational teams to understand cost drivers and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting on logistics performance
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per parcel, on-time delivery, and parcels per hour
- Support contract reviews and rate negotiations with third-party logistics providers (3PLs)
- Assist with capital expenditure analysis for logistics-related investments
- Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as required
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
- Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables, formulas, and basic financial modelling)
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred:
- 2–5 years’ experience in a financial analysis role
- Experience within logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or distribution environments
- Familiarity with freight costing, carrier contracts, and 3PL management
- Exposure to SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools
- CIMA or ACCA qualification, or progress toward certification
