Position Overview

We are looking for an 8a Older Adult Clinical Psychologist to join the Buckinghamshire Psychological Therapies Team for a 9 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to care provision by providing consultation to the multidisciplinary team and supporting the creation and implementation of care and treatment plans.
  • Undertake psychological assessments, including neuropsychological assessments when appropriate.
  • Deliver individual psychological interventions where appropriate.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of individual interventions.
  • Provide consultation and supervision to colleagues in the delivery of psychologically informed treatments.
  • Provide ad hoc advice and guidance to colleagues in inpatient wards, social care, and GPs regarding care plans for patients with psychological care needs.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the local policies and procedures to govern psychological practice within the ward.
