Senior BESS Integration & Plant Control Engineer

We are seeking a specialist engineer to support the BESS Technical Lead in integrating a large‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with an offshore wind farm via an HVDC transmission system. This is a technically challenging and highly visible role focused on delivering seamless, reliable, and safe integration between the BESS, HVDC infrastructure, offshore wind assets, plant‑level and grid‑level control systems, and trading and optimisation platforms.
The role places strong emphasis on BESS‑related interfaces and requires an engineer who can shape the operating philosophy, control philosophy, and interface design across multiple systems, vendors, and stakeholders. You will provide key technical input that supports system operability, grid compliance, and commercial optimisation.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrated system is robust, validated through practical testing, and capable of meeting all relevant grid code requirements for storage assets.
