ISMS Officer

Safran is a global high‑technology group. The ISMS Officer/Lead will support the ISMS Project Manager in implementing and managing the Information Security Management System across Safran Seats sites.

Responsibilities

• Pre‑ISMS Deployment – Assist the Project Manager in compiling and modifying existing processes, study current procedures and propose modifications to align with ISMS requirements, support development of the Information Security Management Manual (ISMM), document IS risks, and support internal and external audits.
• Ongoing Role Post‑Deployment – Act as the UK representative, ensuring compliance at UK sites, continuous improvement, communication, training and staff awareness, manage IS risks, coordinate with Safran IS‑IT teams, and perform additional tasks as defined by the ISMM.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in Electrical/Electronics, IT, Computer Science or related field; minimum 3 years’ experience in a safety‑critical industry; experience in risk identification, analysis and treatment; basic understanding of aviation regulations; awareness of EASA standards related to Part 21/145; understanding of organisational processes, methods and tools; proficient communication and coordination skills; strong attention to detail; good problem‑solving and organisational skills; willingness to learn and adapt.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Safran Seats DOA, POA or MOA processes; knowledge of IS regulations from EASA/UK CAA; basic understanding of Cyber Security, IT‑IS importance in aviation; familiarity with ISO27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
